The RSB VCLA Difference

People choose RSB VCLA because we’re not a general fitness class—we’re a focused Parkinson’s program with expert coaching, real community, and a consistent plan that keeps you coming back.

  • Parkinson’s-focused, non-contact boxing
  • “Corner coaches” who cue, correct, and motivate in real time
  • Modifications for all stages (including cane/walker support when needed)
  • In-person + Zoom options for real-life schedules
  • Since 2014, never canceled a class
  • Training variety: balance, agility, strength, coordination, voice cues, and boxing fundamentals
  • Community and accountability that reduces isolation and keeps momentum
  • Clear next step: your first class is free

Designed for Real-Life Parkinson’s Challenges

Parkinson’s doesn’t show up in just one way—so training shouldn’t either. Our sessions are built to address common PD challenges like stiffness, balance and coordination changes, reduced flexibility, and confidence in movement—without making you feel like you “have to keep up.”

In a typical week, you can expect a mix of:
  • Stretching and mobility work
  • Balance and agility drills
  • Hand-eye coordination and reaction training
  • Strength segments (often with handheld weights)
  • Boxing fundamentals (footwork, punches, combinations—non-contact)
  • Coach-led cues for posture, facial expression, and movement intent

Safety + Personalization Are Built In

Your Assessment Comes First

Before you jump in, we take the time to understand & assess where you are today. That allows us to help you start at the right pace and progress safely.

  • Quick intake + movement assessment
  • Placement into the best-fit class level
  • Coaching guidance to help you build confidence fast

All Stages Welcome (We Modify Everything)

You’ll never be expected to do a drill “the one perfect way.” Coaches adapt movement based on your needs so you can train effectively.

  • Modifications for balance and mobility levels
  • Adjustments for cane/walker use when needed
  • Options for intensity, range of motion, and pacing
  • Real-time coaching cues and encouragement (in-person and Zoom)

What To Bring

  • Water bottle
  • Small towel
  • Comfy athletic shoes
  • Most importantly: a can-do attitude

FAQs

Is the first class really free?

Yes. Your first class is free for new members across every program type. We encourage you to call first so we can recommend the best starting option, but you can also request your intro class online.

Do I need boxing experience?

No. This is non-contact boxing and everything is coach-led. You’ll learn the fundamentals step-by-step, and we adapt drills based on comfort level and mobility.

Is it safe if I use a cane or walker?

Many members train with mobility considerations. Our coaches modify drills based on balance, movement confidence, and assistive device use so you can participate safely and effectively.

What happens in the first visit?

You’ll start with a brief intake and assessment so we can guide you into the best-fit class level. Then you’ll experience a coach-led session where modifications are always available.

What should I bring?

Water bottle, small towel, comfortable athletic shoes—and a can-do attitude.

Can I do this from home on Zoom?

Yes. Zoom classes are coached and structured, and coaches can still give cues and modifications during class.

Should I call first or book online?

We encourage a quick call first because it helps us guide you faster. But if online is easier, the website form works too.

Ready to meet your corner coaches?

Your first class is free. Call first if you can—book online if you prefer. Either way, we’ll help you take the first step.
